The reason is that Blizzard no longer offers the legion client through retail, as it's impossible to play the Legion expansion through the official World of Warcraft version.

The size of the download is 39.4 GB, so it's quite huge. The reason is that there's a lot of content and therefore, a lot of game data to download. The WoW client size was around the same on retail back when Legion was a thing on their realms.

Keep in mind that&nbsp;there's only one Mini Legion WoW clients provided&nbsp;(fast, download while playing). The reason is that for this expansion, it's more stable to download the full version. It may take a while to download, but then you are good to go, and won't experience FPS lag and other spikes while playing.

After reading this article, it will give you the necessary ressources to download a 7.3.5 WoW Legion Client. On top of that, you are now aware of the differences between a Full Legion Client, and a fast client. As mentioned, we do recommend the Full WoW Client version. With that being said, it's necessary to download a client for Legion through us or others, in order to play on a server for this expansion. Because through these fan servers, you can experience increased content, such as higher XP rates, or perhaps instant max-level. It can be a great experience for those who are tired of retail, and want to try something different.&nbsp;

What can I expect in 2021 within the WoW Private Server scene?

There are serveral servers that are currently in the development phase. Many of the servers have said they hope to release in 2021. Some of the server news are more exciting than others. During this article, we'll cover upcoming servers and realms such as Apollo MoP, Tauri Legion, Project Neltharion Cataclysm, and more. We will be going into detail as to what to expect (and when). Get an overview down below:

Apollo WoW, that is under the name of Twinstar, are currently working on delivering a <a href="https://zremax.com/expansion/mop-private-servers/" target="_blank" rel="author">MoP Private Server</a>. Their Cata server (Apollo 2) has reached Firelands (4.2), and rumors claim that once their Cataclysm server, Apollo 2, is fully progressed into 4.3.4, they will be releasing MoP. Apollo is known for their good quality in terms of scripts, quests and a blizzlike experience (however a little bit less known for their staff management). Our expectations, in terms of the scripting, is therefore extremely high. We expect that Apollo's MoP server will be having a really high standard as well. Our guess is that it will be between 3-5X rates, however time will show.

As much as we were hoping to have more information about Tauri's&nbsp;<a href="https://zremax.com/expansion/legion-private-servers/" target="_blank" rel="author">Legion Private Server</a>&nbsp;(that they mentioned they will release), the information is just not there. It seems like they are quite busy on their released Wotlk server (Crystalsong), and are filled up. Accordingly, it seems like you shouldn't expect a Legion release of Tauri anytime soon. Instead, I would recommend you to search for alternatives meanwhile, as it could take several years before the Legion server from Tauri is ready, unfortunately. Our expectations to the Legion server, once it gets out, is also extremely high. Project-Neltharion is a&nbsp;<a href="https://zremax.com/expansion/cataclysm-private-servers/" target="_blank" rel="author">Cataclysm Private Server</a>&nbsp;in development. The staff members are very passionate about the project, and they seem to have a quite interesting thing going on there. Project-Neltharion and Project-Nightfall went into one in terms of a community merge, that expanded Project-Neltharion further. Project-Neltharion has mentioned that they have a large development team, and they have shown preview of several features, such as an advanced anticheat system. What is a World of Warcraft Shadowlands Repack?

If you're not into the technical things, you might not even know what a repack is. And perhaps you don't know the difference between a&nbsp;<a href="https://zremax.com/blog/legion-repack-7-3-5" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Legion Repack</a>, and a WoW Shadowlands Repack.&nbsp;

To answer the first question, a WoW Repack is basically a precompiled version of an emulated server of World of Warcraft. It allows you to quickly start up and manage your own server, and be your own Administrator.&nbsp;The second question has a quite different answer. A repack is the same resource, no matter what expansion it runs on. That's why a Shadowlands Repack is similar to a repack on another expansion.&nbsp;

The main difference is just that a repack for this expansion supports patch (9.0), while another repack may support a lower game version. As a general rule, repacks on newer game versions tend to be more bugged in terms of content, than repacks on old expansions. And there's a good reason for this.

The old expansions are well.. old. There's not new content, and it has existed for years. Therefore, more developers have worked on it, and it's more researched. The new expansions, such as&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_of_Warcraft:_Shadowlands" target="_blank" rel="noopener">World of Warcraft: Shadowlands</a>&nbsp;bring new content into the game. That needs to be developed and researched by developers, which takes time and effort. Therefore, you should expect much more bugs on Shadowlands, versus an older expansion.

We talked a little about the bug state of repacks in the previous section. But in this section, we dig into it focusing on Shadowlands only, which is what this page really is about! We at Zremax are WoW Shadowlands Fans, and have researched the topic, with a lot of information and resources to bring to you.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is a new expansion by Blizzard. It will released recently. The game version even offers a lot of new content.&nbsp;As a result, developers of private servers need to sniff new data, script new content and research. Things like that requires a lot of time and effort. But it comes with a price, because a lot of content will be bugged for a while, compared to on a&nbsp;<a href="https://zremax.com/blog/wotlk-repack-a-wow-3-3-5-repack-for-wrath-of-the-lich-king/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wotlk Repack</a>.&nbsp;That's honestly the reality. You can play on a Shadowlands Repack and you can experience the new content, but you will expect bugs.. A lot of them. As long as you're faced with this reality, then we can recommend a repack for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.

This means that the repacks for this wow game version are playable, but with a lot of bugs. We can only hope the developers keep up the good work, so that the bugs will be reduced over the years.
